WHO IS THE VISION?

I’m Johneil Harris, the photographer and creative behind Visionneil.

For me, photography has always been about more than creating a good-looking image. It’s about seeing something in a person, a moment or an environment and turning that feeling into something you can hold onto.

My work lives between portraiture, lifestyle, fashion and visual storytelling. I’m drawn to natural moments, strong composition, movement, colour and images that carry a cinematic feel while still feeling real.

ILLUSTRATE LIFE. CAPTURE VISIONS.

That phrase has always represented what Visionneil is about.

Illustrate Life is about documenting what already exists with personality, connection, culture, movement and the moments that happen naturally.

Capture Visions is about creating what doesn’t exist yet taking an idea, mood or feeling and building a visual world around it.

Sometimes that means directing every detail of an image. Other times, it means stepping back and recognizing the moment when it happens.

Both are part of how I see.

A NEW CHAPTER

After spending some time away from creating consistently, I’m stepping back behind the camera with a different perspective.

Life has changed. I’ve changed.

And I think that's going to show in the work.

This chapter of Visionneil is about creating with intention, experimenting again and collaborating with people who want photographs that feel like something not just photographs that look good.
